Asian Next Wave Film Forum
Beyond the Spotlight: Building Skills, Craft & Ecosystems for a Future-Ready Southeast Asian Cinema
November 22–23, 2025
A two-day industry forum focused on labor, craft, guilds, and regional ecosystems.
Highlights include the opening keynote with Hon. Joy Belmonte (Mayor of Quezon City) and Paolo Villaluna (Director General, Film Academy of the Philippines), panels on festival circuits, markets, and SEA genre cinema, case studies (Magellan, Anora), as well as workshops and masterclasses in screenwriting, sound design, virtual production, production design, and distribution.
Day 2 also hosts the Film Academy of the Philippines Guild Summit: Building a Unified Filipino Film Workforce, a sector-wide gathering of Philippine film guilds led by the Film Academy of the Philippines.
